There is something inspiring about hearing a young person say “ I Care About HIV.” That is the message coming from the NYC Lab School HIV/AIDS Action League from the NYC LAB school on West 17th in Chelsea. The league meets and works year round to raise awareness about the virus, prevent new infections and reduce the stigma attached to HIV/AIDS. It is for students, by students. And it is amazing.

For the last few years Visual AIDS has had the pleasure of working with the students for their annual HIV/AIDS Action Day around December 1st. Based on the success of this year’s HIV/AIDS Action Day, students met today (during their winter break) to take their work to the next level. They have big plans!

Stay tuned to the Visual AIDS blog as we support the NYC Lab School HIV/AIDS Action League to help them achieve their goal of “motivating and educating 5000 teens about HIV”.
